East TN Savannahs is an in-home cattery nestled in the foothills of The Great Smokey Mountains close to Pigeon forge, Gatlinburg area that is famous for tourist attractions (Dolly Parton, Dollywood & Splash Country). Dandridge Tennessee is 30 min from Knoxville TN airport & my hometown of Sevierville TN. Specializing in producing F2B and SBT Savannah(F4-F8) kittens in standard and nonstandard colors and patterns. Producing spotted shades of Brown, Silver, Melanistic, Snow, Blues, and marble pattern kittens.
All our cats are raised inside our home as a family. East TN Savannah cats have the luxury large indoor enclosures with many toy enrichments to engage their natural curiosity and energetic behavior.
Our cats have been carefully hand-picked from some of the most experienced breeders and bloodlines. Our cattery is a Felv (Feline leukemia virus) negative, PKD (Erythrocyte Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency) N/N and PRA (progressive retinal atrophy) N/N cattery assuring the priority of producing healthy quality kittens. East TN Savannah cats and kittens receive routine veterinary care and preventive treatments from our local licensed veterinarian.
Hello, my name is Angela Rimmer! I have loved animals since I was a little kid. I had my first 2 cats at the age of 3. Ever since I have had cats, dogs, and many other farm animals as my pets. I was that kid that was in the woods finding snakes, bunnies, and lizards, bringing them in the house. I always wanted to help any animal I found, whether that was saving a life and giving it a home with me or helping an animal if it was injured. I have always had a love for all God's creatures. My mom passed away at the age of 50 and I was 11 years old when I went to live with my older brother and his wife who raised me.
They bred purebred Boxers, Cocker Spaniels, and Pomeranians. This is where I learned all about breeding and the dynamics of it. I always wanted to work with animals since I was a kid and have not outgrown this. It was always a big dream to maybe become a horse trainer as horses has always been my love but just working with any animal was great for me. As I got older, I wanted to become a veterinarian so I could help all animals. But soon I found myself far too emotional about things so I knew I couldn't handle with being such a sensitive animal person. Fast forward after getting married, I found myself looking at cats online because I wanted a new fur baby. I came across the Savannah cat that I had never seen before. I thought how exotic looking and beautiful these cats are! So long, tall, and beautiful spots reminded me of all the beautiful exotic cats you see in the wild like and that’s what drawn me to them was their exotic appearance and how much I love the big cats of the wild like the Cheetah and Leopards. We ended up getting 2 Savannah cats as pets F3 Annabelle and her brother Max. It was all over after that both my husband and I were hooked. You can never just have 1 savannah!
Kittens/Cats of East TN Savannahs are placed only by Contract and with a TICA registered breeder slip number (BSN). Each kitten/cat comes current with all age-appropriate vaccinations, prophylactically treated for fleas and worming, and socialized.
Any additional testing for Color genetics, PCR Fecal Panel or Respiratory Index testing is available upon request at buyer’s additional expense.
